It all started when…

Donald Ryckman, Sr. “Don” and Donald “Buck” Ryckman, Jr. wanted to open a kennel to help other hunters train their Gundogs in 1987.

The kennel started in a backyard in Shavano Park it grew and then moved to a rural piece of I-10 Frontage right between San Antonio and Boerne.

Folks have come from across the United States to have their dogs trained by the Ryckman Family since the kennel was opened.

Buck is the owner and manager of the kennels and working alongside him are 2 of his 3 daughters Elizabeth and Kathryn who are excited to continue the legacy of the Ryckman family business.

At this time we have available All Seasons Dog Boarding, Obedience Training, Retriever Training, Pointer Training and Seasonal Rattlesnake Avoidance Training.

We proudly offer Professionally Guided Quail, Pheasant and Chukar Hunts using either Wild or Pen Birds all across Texas that are personally ran by Buck and include his expertly built and modified Quail rig and hunting behind well trained and well bred Pointing and Flushing Dogs.

We also offer other services as well including some Behavior Modification and some Grooming, etc.
